Equal rights for women, also in health care

Equal rights for women, also in health care

Since 1 September 2020 Ovidias is a proud partner of Think Pink Europe, an organisation dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. With the annual International Women's Day coming up, this is the perfect time to give this organisation some extra, well-deserved attention. Because equal rights for women also means that every woman has the same right to health care.

The idea behind International Women’s Day

Every year on 8 March, it is International Women's Day, a day on which the inequality between men and women is denounced. After all, women worldwide are still fighting for equal rights in areas such as work and voting. But equal rights also means equal rights to health care, regardless of where you live.

Did you know, for example, that survival rates for breast cancer can vary by up to 30% depending on where you live? And this while in Europe, 500,000 new diagnoses are made and 125,000 people die due this disease - especially women, but also men.

Why collaborate with Think Pink?

Our company is 75% female. We believe it is extremely important to have equal standards for everyone in the workplace and beyond. Through our partnership with Think Pink, we are expanding this mission.

We also chose to work with Think Pink because almost everyone knows someone close to them who is affected by breast cancer. The more organisations that work together with Think Pink, the more opportunities we create to improve and accelerate research in Europe.

Chocolates for a good cause

Would you like to join us in the prevention and fight against breast cancer? You can do so by buying a Think Pink ballotin or Think Pink can filled with Belgian chocolates. Part of the proceeds will go directly to Think Pink. Thank you!
